A Little About Ourselves

We believe that tattoo artists are today’s version of master artists. So we have begun a nationwide petition to bring awareness of how tattoo art should be implemented in the art history school curriculums. Universities, colleges, and trade schools to be exact not for kids under the age of 18 unless it’s a pre-course for college. The more signatures we get the more helpful it will be to lobby for us not to be erased from history. It is after all the second oldest form of art. Apart from hieroglyphics. We will try to collaborate with other tattoo media outlets and tattoo activist groups to facilitate tattoo art exhibits in selected official city art museums across the nation. In part of our cause, we have decided that the Tattoo Heritage Project (a nonprofit that preserves tattoo history) will indefinitely get a free full-page ad in our magazine because they align with our goal.

One of our future other petitions is to nationally create a health department guideline to ensure our industry doesn’t get affected by the lack of education and knowledge most health departments don’t possess. This will unify how it’s regulated.

We are a socially conscious tattoo culture & lifestyle magazine.

We do ‘Tat2 FunFacts’ which highlights old-school history and ethics. Along with educating our viewers on the tattoo industry’s history. We will write about the struggles and obstacles our pioneers went through from the point of view of the urban industry, women, and lgbtq+ 🏳️‍🌈 community.

We will not just have celebrities and tattoo industry people or just models on the cover.  Our magazine will be a diverse melting pot. We will cover the transitions and obstacles all minority groups endure in what was once an all-white male-dominated industry.

As part of our Sister By Ink (awareness & justice campaign against discrimination, judgments, and alienation of Women with Ink ) we understand how women were once shunned by even tattoo shop owners when they asked for an apprenticeship instead they were sexualized and objectified. Nor given the opportunity to show their dedication and skills. Women tattoo artists are now taking over the industry and are taken seriously for their craft. You don’t have to be just like one of the boys. You can choose to use your beauty and charismatic sexiness or not. That wasn’t a choice back 10 – 15 years ago. If you didn’t dumb yourself down and dress conservatively you weren’t respected up there with other elites even if you were just as good or better at your craft. We want that “right” to choose to continue and grow. Although we do have model search contests and an annual Tattoo Socialite Pageant in our yearly  ‘Women’s Issue’ to show the world that we don’t need to sexualize and objectify women to show their worth. We can have a happy balance by doing local (in areas of tattoo conventions we are attending) modeling contests to be our convention spokesmodels at conventions we attend. This will give even small-town and big-city girls the opportunity to do photo ops & interviews as Video Vixen for our affiliated Tattoo View Podcast our VIP events. We also do a yearly Tattoo Socialite Pageant. We are all-inclusive and highly encourage women of all sizes, ages (over 18 because it’s the legal age to get tattooed), and color or ethnicities to send in their stories to be selected for an interview or be one of our Tattoo Socialites of the Year’s contestant. We don’t just include how many votes you get but what your journey has been as a heavily tattooed woman. We want to hear about how life inked (imprinted) your heart & soul. So having the balance of both model searches and the exclusive ‘Women’s’ issue which is completely dedicated to showcasing only women in every article as well as every ad space except our sponsors & conventions we are attending will give women of ink the right to choose which direction they want.

‘Urban Roots – Rooted in Art’ segments are about how the urban community struggled to break through the discrimination they faced in the industry and how they are excelling in the industry now. At InkVasion you will hear those stories that gave those artists every strength to overcome those obstacles.

We will connect that to our Ingenious segment to show how some artists come from a lineage of ancestry that was tattooing before the colonizers claimed it as its own. We will showcase how they have maintained their legacy and traditions through the art of tattooing that had passed down from generation to generation with their techniques, rituals, and meanings.

InkVasion Magazine welcomes you to join our journey as we enter the world of tattoos.

Mini highlights we have incorporated into our magazine to help grow our industry include the following:

  • We do ‘TechTalk’ segments to discuss how what was once an underground industry is navigating and breaking boundaries with modern-day technology in a digital era. This will include how we are regulating aftercare and inks through what we know now is healthy for the environment and our bodies by using new technology that identifies this. Also how tattooing is being implemented in the medical field.
  • We are supportive of small business owners that have the tattoo alternative aesthetic. We want to showcase your product and hear about your journey.
  • We do ‘Editor’s HotPix’ which are favorite book, band or song, alternative bar or venue, and favorite activist, humanitarian, or cause run by a tattooed person or for alternative enthusiasts.

Our art selection will include tattoo art of all styles including a section for artisan art that use other mediums other than tattooing to create tattoo art. As well as the digital / NFT art section to bring the next big thing for tattoo artists to monetize their talents. We will be selecting a topic choice for each issue like ‘Ink Therapy Sobriety & Mental Health’ and the yearly ‘Women’s’ issue. Some future ones will be our ‘Powerhouse Couples’ issue and ‘Prison’ issue. We will be selecting art that best represents the topic.

We cover music events, red carpets, VIP after-parties, tattoo art exhibits, charity events, and tattoo conventions. We are not taking a light approach to covering events in our first 2 years of an aggressive marketing journey, we are doing 40-plus tattoo conventions in the first year tour.

Through our journey, InkVasion will sponsor our affiliated Tattoo View Podcast which will cover everything we do on our YouTube channel and podcast outlets. We will also be launching our version of a tattoo Tinder called INKED2GETHER and throwing a fun playful element by filming a tv show pilot called The Tattoo Dating Game to promote our dating site. We will be filming at 13 selected tattoo conventions that choose our top Diamond Tier program. So we will be casting in those specific local 100-mile radius of those conventions.

We are the only magazine that offers tattoo convention owners a mini exclusive event magazine when they choose our top-tier program and the WOW factor we bring to your show. To inquire just reach out and we can custom design what fits best for your show. We have additional ways for you and your sponsors to monetize & expand your event even more through our live-streaming remote tickets package.

We are one of a kind. We are the tattoo industry’s media guide to the new and informative outlet. We are new without forgetting the old. Come join our army of Tattoo Addicts as InkVasion Magazine takes over the world.
